Sudan crises; During the past few weeks, Sudan is facing the protests in its capital city and now these protests have turned violent and according to the Ammensity International there are serious evidence that the government is using violent means against the protesters. At the end of the last year (2018), the government of Sudan increased the prices of everyday items such as bread and fuel, in order to control the economy of Sudan. The protests are infact, a  response to the inflation and demanded that the Sudan’s long term leader should step down and should be removed from power.

Who are protesting in Sudan and what are their demands.?

The protesters belong to every walk of life and they are very much Sudanese. The protesters include; doctors, professionals, lawyers and workers. Many young women are also the part of the protest, The demands of the protestors include the complete transfer of the powers to the civilian government. The protestors negotiated with the military authorities regarding their demands, but the negotiations collapsed.

What is happening with the protestors.?

The protestors are facing the brutalities and killings from the military authorities. Many people have been killed and a lot of getting serious injuries. The authorities have declared an emergency and imposed the night-time curfew.

How the world is responding to Sudan crisis?

The world is backing the protesters. Most Africans and American countries are standing with protesters. US called it “Brutal Attacks” and UK said that the military council is fully responsible for the situation. Saudi Arabia, however emphasized on dialogue between the two parties.
